This week I was privileged to see this word in action. There is a local non-profit ministry that helps men (young and old) overcome drug and alcohol addictions. These men have been at the lowest point in their life and are desperately seeking help. "A Better Way" ministries has come alongside them with a program that doesn't shove religion down their throat, but rather helps them learn self- discipline and realize a spiritual awareness that is based on a relationship - not works. They do not merely stop at the heart and mind, they continue with helping these men gain education and training in a career that fits their desires and talents. When they have completed the "program" part of the ministry, the men are educated, have a career path, and passion for life. Check out their website and all they offer.
